This is war
We are at war. Wednesday’s assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk was the volley heard ‘round the nation – the trumpet call to declare and defend our beliefs and our rights. The assassin has awakened a sleeping giant.
This man was murdered because a crazed, leftist killer apparently believes promoting viewpoints in opposition to his is a crime deserving of death. Nay. HE deserves to die, and I pray the sentence and his execution are carried out swiftly. Those in government and the media who regularly excoriated Kirk and other conservatives as hateful and dangerous bear some responsibility as well for the justification they provide the unstable to commit deadly deeds.
The way Kirk is being portrayed and his death celebrated by many on the left is maddening to the extreme. Every single one of them should be forced to provide evidence that he was a homophobic, gun-worshiping Nazi or else shut up. He was none of those things. He was a good, God-worshiping, family man with a keen intellect who devoted his short life to countering the lies of our culture with the truth.
Charlie Kirk was a threat to the left because he was so successful at exposing their delusions and deceptions. But his martyrdom has only emboldened other conservatives to continue his work fighting the culture war we are in.
Yes, this is war. President Joe Biden once declared that we are in “a battle for the soul of this nation.” How true. Satan is battling for our soul too, and many on the left, whether they realize it or not, take their marching orders from him.
Many if not most of us on the right serve the Commander in Chief of the universe and are emboldened in our outrage at Charlie Kirk’s murder to finally engage in the battle or fight even harder. And we wield the deadliest, most-feared weapon of all: The sword of truth.
May Charlie Kirk’s blood be the seed of a restored nation built on biblical values, law and order, and an unwavering protection and promotion of truth.
