Have you ever heard of the idea of representing the best version of your opponents’ views to argue against?
Atheism is the lack of belief in a specific set of claims.
It has no content, it just rejects certain theistic content.
There is no claim essential to atheism to believe.
Now, if you want to attack some naive and slightly moronic rendition of atheism, then that’s your choice. But all you’re going to do it appeal to the less sophisticated members of your side of the argument and get ignored by the other side.
I imagine that is not your goal.

My goal is to counter as many atheist memes as I reasonably can, many of which ARE “naive and slightly moronic” and many “less sophisticated” folks on both sides get taken in by them. So, “representing the best version” of atheism should not be expected here.
And I’m familiar with the tactic of redefining atheism but believe it to be disingenuous. Atheism is the view that God does not exist. If you claim not to hold that view, nor the one that affirms God does exist…i.e. you don’t know that he does, you don’t know that he doesn’t…that’s agnosticism.

You know that claims to knowledge (“Gnosis”) and claims to belief in a God (“Theos”) are not the same.
